Sell All buttons are fastest for low-rarity cleanup. Buyback is for "shit, I sold the wrong thing." Common gear is usually safe to clear first once you have upgrades equipped.
Buyback lets you recover something you just sold before it is gone for good.
Spend Shards to raise item level. This is the straight upgrade path when a good drop is worth keeping instead of replacing immediately.
Spend Hearts to permanently boost an equipped item when it already feels worth keeping and you want stronger stats without replacing it.
Spend Hearts and Shards to add gem slots to equipped gear so one strong item can scale further instead of being tossed the moment a new drop appears.
Insert gems for bonuses, combine extras into stronger gems, or remove them when you want to rebuild a piece. Gems are build materials, not normal vendor trash.
Buy from other players, list your own gear, and use auctions when an item is worth selling to the market instead of being simple vendor cleanup.
